Angela, our medical aesthetician and laser specialist, knows skin inside and out. With the arrival of winter weather, cold temperatures and low humidity can pull moisture from your skin.
“My skin always needs a little extra help with hydration this time of year,” says Angela. “Squalane is great for drier skin types. My favorite is Biossance’s 100% pure Squalane oil. It makes my skin feel luxuriously soft and conditioned.
If my skin is going through a breakout, I switch to Fresh’s Seaberry oil. It absorbs quickly and calms down my skin so my breakout can heal and it doesn’t start new ones from forming!”
To keep your skin glowing and healthy when faced with “brrrr” weather, follow Angela’s Top 3 Skin Tips for Winter
- Make the Switch–Trade-in your super-hydrating Hyaluronic Acid serum for super-emollient Squalane or Seaberry oils.
- Lock it In–Apply facial moisturizer on top of the oils to further lock-in emollients.
- Slather on the SPF–Yes, you still need to protect your skin from the sun’s harmful rays–even in winter! And let’s not forget blue rays which radiate from computer screens. Blue rays cause free-radical damage of delicate skin cells, which may lead to premature aging and even skin cancer. Keep your skin shielded and healthy!
